Transforming Caribbean Entrepreneurs into Fortified CEOs
From Hustle to Fortified CEO
The TEGL pilot — funded by the YLAI Impact Grant from the U.S. Department of State — completed all planned activities by April 2026, achieving 100% of technical milestones and immediately triggering commercial sustainability.
Why TEGL Was Needed
The baseline audit revealed alarming operational gaps across all four pillars — gaps that standard training programs had not addressed.
Measuring the Transformation
Seven survey instruments — baseline audit, four module pre/post surveys, and the transformation report — tell a clear story of measurable change.
Progress by Pillar
The Four-Module Journey
Each module builds sequentially — from operational foundations through financial control, marketing systems, and a complete cybersecurity fortress.
In Their Own Words
Drawn directly from Module 4 post-survey responses — the authentic voices of entrepreneurs who completed the full transformation.
The TEGL program shifted my perspective on technology. It's no longer just helpful, it's essential. I now use it more strategically to improve efficiency, connect with customers, and grow my business.
I once saw technology as a monster especially with my finances and I am now using Zoho Books — something I thought I would never trust doing in the past. Drastically changed.
TEGL has helped me view technology as a bridge between innovation and sustainability — a way to protect the environment, empower people, and future-proof my business.
This program provided much needed capacity building. I will approach my business in a more structured and planned manner going forward.
Asana and Zoho are extremely helpful. Making use of what is there to assist me to manage everything. Learned new tools that I will use every day going forward.
I now have a 180-degree perspective. Technology is a tool which enables growth and development. The TEGL course was very informative — grateful for this opportunity.
Strategic Alliances Built
TEGL catalysed a network of institutional and commercial partnerships that underpin long-term sustainability beyond the grant period.
Built to Last Beyond the Grant
Grant funding was a catalyst, not a crutch. TEGL's commercial pipeline was activated before grant activities even concluded.
What We Didn't Plan For
The pilot exceeded its scope in three significant ways that directly validate the commercial and scalability potential of the TEGL model.
The Road Ahead
TEGL transitions to a self-sustaining, commercially-driven phase in May 2026, with impact measurement and regional scaling on the horizon.
- 1
May 23, 2026 — Graduation Networking Event
Joint event co-funded by Startup Huddle St. Lucia. Connects all 17 graduates with investors, mentors, and potential partners. Architect badge awards ceremony.
- 2
October 2026 — TEGL Impact Survey
6-month transformation report measuring hours saved, revenue growth, new hires, and business resilience across all graduates. Data anchors the next funding pitch.

2026–2027 — Cohort 2 & Regional Replication
With the framework codified, TEGL is ready to scale across Eastern Caribbean. Seeking institutional partners to sponsor a second cohort of 25–30 entrepreneurs.
Scale TEGL to Cohort 2
A second cohort requires funding for software licenses, facilitator time, venue, and digital starter packs. The model is proven — curriculum, surveys, and framework are ready to deploy.
✓ 25–30 additional entrepreneurs transformed
✓ Regional replication in Eastern Caribbean
✓ Institutional B2B training partnerships
✓ 6-month impact data for evidence base
✓ Contribution to national digital transformation agenda
